Workshop services

One-on-One Instruction
$400/half day
$750/whole day (lunch included)

Depending on your needs we can spend time in the studio, out in the field or both. We will work with you to figure out what techniques work best for you to capture nature the way you envision! Sessions are personalized to match your experience and equipment and we will work with you to get professional-quality images.

Some examples of topics can be studio work, macro photography, photographing larger insect (dragonflies and butterflies), trap photography, using high-speed flash, and photographing in water.

Group Workshops
$1300/day + travel expenses

We can design workshops catered to you and your group. These can include studio work where we provide subjects to help you hone your  macro photography skills, spending time outside focussing on a specific group of taxa, or perfecting specialize techniques.

One-on-One with Adobe Lightroom
$ 100/hour

We can help you set up your Lightroom catalog and walk you through a workflow for editing and storing your images that works for you! Lightroom can be difficult to get the hang of, but it is a very powerful way to organize your images and do post processing.

  • We specialize in insects and high speed photography but we have worked with numerous other plants and vertebrates.

  • We have 30 acres of mixed hardwood forest including areas that have never been logged, ponds, lake, and streams. We also have an 850 square foot studio, tool and workshop space and 1 bedroom fully furnished apartment all available for rent. click here for details
